Significance
Algeria plunged into crisis shortly after long-ailing President Abdelaziz Bouteflika announced he would run for a fifth term in early 2019. Libya is in the midst of yet another bout of fighting, this time centring on the capital, while Tunisia focuses on general elections in the autumn.
