Prospects for South-east Asia to end-2022.
Significance
The World Bank earlier this month lowered its forecast for 2022 GDP growth in East Asia and the Pacific, which includes South-east Asia. While many South-east Asian states face a struggle to return to pre-pandemic growth rates, the region is gearing up to host several high-level diplomatic engagements. ASEAN, for its part, remains divided over the Myanmar conflict and the Ukraine war.
