Prospects for Brazil to end-2022.
Significance
Brazil will hold general elections in October 2022 in which far-right President Jair Bolsonaro will seek a second term after four years of divisive government. The vote will be highly polarised between him and former centre-left President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, who has a comfortable lead in the polls and could even win in the first round.
