Significance
Although companies were initially reluctant to partner with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Joint Cyber Defense Collaborative (JCDC) when it was launched in August 2021, the calculation has now shifted in favour of closer collaboration.
Impacts
Closer private-sector threat monitoring will improve the quality of public data available on evolving cyberthreats landscape.
CISA’s Joint Cyber Defense Collaborative will expand membership to encompass more companies, possibly beyond the tech sector.
Law enforcement agencies will become important cybersecurity partners of private firms due to risks posed by cyber criminals.
