Significance
Separately, the IN’s presence in the Arabian Sea has increased markedly since December, in response to threats associated with the fallout from the Israel-Gaza war. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has said India “plays the role of a net security provider in the entire Indian Ocean region”.
