Initiatives to integrate operational knowledge in design: a building client perspective Available to Purchase

Helle Lohmann Rasmussen is a PhD student at DTU Management Engineering. Her PhD project is entitled Integrating operational knowledge in design of energy efficient facilities. She graduated from Aarhus School of Architecture as an Architect in 2003. Since then, she has worked primarily with complex university facilities, both as an internal architect and project manager in facility management organizations, most recent at DTU Campus Service, and as a consultant at JJW Architects, Copenhagen. She furthermore holds a Master of Construction Management from DTU Management Engineering from 2015.

Per Anker Jensen is Professor in Facilities Management at The Technical University of Denmark and Head of the Centre for Facilities Management. He holds the degrees of MSc in Civil Engineering, PhD and MBA. Besides research and teaching, he has 20 years of experience from practice as consultant, project manager and facilities manager. His research interest concerns how briefing, design, development and management of physical facilities can add value to users and organisations.

Susanne Balslev Nielsen is Chief Consultant at Centre of Real Estate, Capital Region of Denmark, where she is working with FM systems and processes. Before this, she was Associate Professor at DTU Management Engineering, Division of System Analysis and deputy in Centre for Facilities Management at the Technical University of Denmark. Susanne is educated as Civil Engineer (1993) and received her PhD (1998) for her study of sustainable transformation of urban infrastructure. She is appointed as Professor II in Facilities Management at Oslo and Akershus University Collage of applied sciences in Norway since 2014.

Anders Højen Kristiansen has four years of experience from working in NNE as a consultant. Anders worked as an Internal Consultant from 2012 to 2016 while studying at DTU. Anders has experience with review, scope management, handover documentation, etc. Anders worked with validation, qualification and commissioning in Novo Nordisk A/S and ALK A/S. Anders completed his master’s degree in Civil engineering in March 2016 from DTU with the thesis Handover processes in construction of public swimming pools: Towards a more operational and sustainable facility, the case of “Roskilde Badet”. Anders is now working full time in NNE.
