Submission information for Foundations and Trends in Machine Learning

Accepted manuscript types

Foundations and Trends® in Machine Learning publishes exclusively long (for example, 75+ pages) review and tutorial papers.

We are particularly interested in monographs that seek to bridge such problems and perspectives with those from related fields, including (but not limited to) statistics, economics, and optimization.

For full details read the Editorial Aims of the journal. These criteria are strictly applied by the editorial board and your paper must meet them to be considered.

Original research papers will not be considered for publication and we will not acknowledge receipt.

If you intend to write, or are in the process of writing, a paper that meets the criteria in Editorial Aims, we will be pleased to hear from you. In the first instance, send an abstract for initial review to the publisher.

After this initial submission, a preliminary acceptance may follow. The full draft paper will be subject to a reviewing process to ensure quality standards and balance before being finally accepted..
