This year has once again seen a high standard of papers from an increasingly diverse range of countries from around the globe. The Journal continues to attract submissions from countries that are relatively new to the area of women in management, including Austria, Lebanon, Greece, Nigeria, Oman, Tanzania and Turkey. Submissions over the last three years represent academics in over 35 countries, which clearly demonstrates the increasing globalization of the Journal and worldwide recognition of its contribution to the field of women in management.

As a result of this increasing globalization I am very happy to welcome two new reviewers to the Editorial Advisory Board (EAB), Dr Mark Neal, University Muscat, Oman and Professor Cristina Reis of University of Coimbra, Portugal. The Journal was also very pleased that Professor Ronald Burke was able to rejoin the EAB. Ron is a great advocate for women in management and he continues to contribute significantly to the area of women in management. Our other EAB members and external reviewers continue to actively support the aims and work of the Journal, and it is their input that has resulted in the high standard of publications. I would like to give my heartfelt thanks to all the EAB members who are wonderfully supportive and committed to the Journal. I would also like to take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank the external reviewers who are not publicly recognized: Jodi O'Dell, Lynn Martin and Beverly Metcalfe. I would also like to say a very big thank you to Sue De Verteuil, who has been acting Managing Editor while Paula Fernandez has been away on maternity leave, it has been a pleasure. Paula returns for the coming volume after giving birth to Reuben Joseph in November – welcome back Paula.

The coming year promises to see the continued growth of the Journal both in terms of standard and geographical spread. However, as I always say, the Journal's growth and success is reliant on your continued support and I would like to thank all our readers, contributors, EAB and Emerald for their important contribution.

Thank you
