Call for Papers
Moving Boundaries 99Bistra Castle, Ljubljana, Slovenia30 June-2 July 1999
Moving Boundaries 99is the fifth international conference in the successful series on Moving Boundary Problems, the previous conferences being held in Southampton (1991),Milan (1993), Bled (1995) and Ghent (1997). The programme of the conference will include proposed and invited papers by acknowledged experts. The conference proceedings will be published in book form (by WIT Press/CMP) in time for the meeting and will be widely distributed after the conference through the international book trade.
The conference is about the computational modelling of a continuum, where the positions of its borders or interphase boundaries have to be determined as part of the solution. The transient character leads to so called moving boundary problems, and the steady one to free boundary problems.
One of the main objectives of the conference is the establishment of interdisciplinary links between scientists and engineers who tackle similar problems from different research perspectives, and scientists who work on different applications but use similar numerical methods.
