Findings

Portuguese researchers set out to examine how two key team processes – team vision and team reflexivity – interact to influence innovation in research and development (R&D) settings. The central finding of the study of 239 workers from 50 R&D teams was that, while both factors independently support innovation, they do not always work well together. The authors pointed out that sometimes high reflexivity can even weaken the positive effect that a strong team vision has on innovation. .

Originality/value

The briefing saves busy executives, strategists and researchers hours of reading time by selecting only the very best, most pertinent information and presenting it in a condensed and easy-to-digest format.
