Defines agility as being “the capacity to be consistently adaptable without having to change”. Looks at what this means in practice and describes how trainers can support employees to gain these characteristics in their work. Underlines that agility is not a single trait, arguing that it is a system that involves focus, performance and resources. Explains how these can be brought together to form an agile workplace. Also discusses the organizational culture that supports agility and how this can be developed. Sets out how training and learning programs can improve employees’ agility, including discussion of the training techniques that are appropriate.
