Don't just read those words, but think about them, reason out what the phrase means, reflect on them a little. Then, against that new understanding of a much ill‐used word, recollect the ‘accidents’ one has seen, heard of or read about. How many were accidents? And how many were incidents for which ‘accident’ is merely a handy label?
