Help in starting a telecommuting programme
Help in starting a telecommuting programme
Interest in telecommuting is growing rapidly, as employers find it improves productivity and eases workers' stress, and legislators encourage telecommuting as a way to ease traffic gridlock and safeguard the environment. But beginning a telecommuting programme takes planning.
Help in starting a telecommuting programme is available through the American Society for Training & Development (ASTD). One is a how-to guide called Training Telecommuters. Another is An Organizational Guide to Telecommuting, Setting up and Running a Successful Telecommuter Program, written by George M. Piskurich.
More information can be found on the ASTD Web site (www.astd.org), in the work@home section.
