Account-management and business-development employees in the Lex corporate-sales team have completed a new corporate-people program at Nottingham Business School (NBS).

Having recognized the fact that the large corporate-fleet market is evolving and customer-service expectations increasing, Lex decided to invest in training that would equip its corporate managers to take a more strategic and structured approach to managing new and existing customer relationships.

NBS designed a bespoke program tailored to match the company’s requirements. The candidates studied four two-day residential modules over a six-month period, covering consultative approaches, solution selling, negotiation and closing skills, and proposal and bid management.

Jo Machin, Lex director of corporate business development, commented: “Lex already has its own academy training program, but it is vital our corporate-sales team is equipped with the specific skills and knowledge to become and remain trusted business advisers to our clients in a changing business environment.”
