A global property damage prevention, restoration and temporary humidity-control specialist is offering its employees the opportunity to obtain higher-education qualifications at undergraduate and postgraduate levels within the workplace.

Using a web-enabled platform from the Working Manager, employees from Huntingdon-based Munters Ltd will be among the first in the UK to benefit from working towards foundation degrees in leadership and management through work-based learning. Available within the company’s in-house academy of learning, the platform gives employees the opportunity to take on-the-job training through a complete career-development package.

Mike Waterfield, the Munters head of business support, said:

Some managers have vast hands-on management experience but have never had the opportunity to obtain a higher-education qualification. Therefore, we are delighted to be able to offer this new program that will recognize this significant experience as a contributor in achieving a nationally recognized qualification. Not only will this route for learning enable our managers to gain a strong academic understanding of leadership and business-management principles, but it will also help them to apply those principles in the workplace, enhancing personal growth and motivation as well as company performance.
