Transactional analysis is a system with which we can analyse all human communication and behaviour. As such it seems to be a topic that is appearing with ever‐increasing frequency in supervisory and management training courses. It is also becoming very popular in the area of communication and human relation skills. In my opinion its appeal lies in the down‐to‐earth simplicity of its concepts. This simplicity is TA's greatest asset and, at the same time, its biggest drawback.
