There are sources of competitive advantage in social and environmental issues.

Research limitations/implications

Success for a business is not guaranteed. It depends on the market and the innovation and the courage, capability and capacity to implement.

Practical implications

Any business can do this if it is motivated to do so.

Originality/value

By looking at wider social and environmental issues businesses can move beyond compliance to exciting opportunities that can differentiate them in the marketplace. This is not about responsibility but opportunity.
