What does versatility mean to the average production manager? Does he consider it a necessary quality in his operatives for the smooth running of the factory, or unimportant because his production never varies? It must therefore to some extent depend on what he is producing and whether the product is subject to seasonal and/or fashion fluctuations in demand.
