KILLING THEM SOFTLY: TRAINER BEHAVIOURS THAT IMPEDE LEARNING

Specific behaviours which lower self‐esteem and prevent the adult learner from maximising full potential are discussed. Teaching methods which alienate or have a destructive effect on students, creating learning blocks and thus inhibiting development, are examined.
