Ecclesiastical Insurance has chosen Kallidus, a provider of learning and talent-management solutions, to deliver an integrated solution for learning, performance and talent management.
Ecclesiastical is a specialist insurance provider founded 125 years ago. Today, the organization operates in the UK and overseas, providing tailored solutions to protect museums, stately homes, cathedrals, churches and other heritage properties, charities and educational establishments.
The first phase of the project is the implementation of a learning-management system, which will enable more than 800 employees in the UK to gain access to e-learning and blended-learning programs aligned to their individual development needs within the organization, directly from their desktops.
Nathan Monk, learning and talent consultant at Ecclesiastical, explained: “Our new learning platform is going to be critical in up-skilling our people and helping us to be experts in our specialist field in todays increasingly competitive marketplace.
“Underwriters and other key users will be able to gain access to personalized training in an intuitive way, saving the organization both time and money. Most importantly, the solution will help us to embed a culture where people take ownership for their own development and can gain access to the tools they need in one click of a mouse to improve their performance.
The learning-management system will deliver e-learning courses in key areas such as technical, regulatory, compliance and health and safety training as well as providing bite-size and blended-learning programs incorporating webinars. These are designed to help employees to develop and deliver better performance in their individual roles.
The learning-management system will also underpin Ecclesiasticals training academy, offering Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) qualifications and other accredited training programs, and will support the organizations train-the-trainer training and coaching initiatives.
As part of the project, Kallidus will deliver financial-compliance e-learning modules through the learning-management system developed by content-provider Inmarkets.
Sophie Howell, talent and learning co-ordinator, commented: “The learning-management system enables us to hold all training data and our offering in one place, which makes it easy for people to find. Additionally it allows us to target training to different areas of the business to ensure all colleagues are compliant and have the knowledge to perform effectively and efficiently in their roles. Throughout the implementation process we have had readily available support to guarantee that we get the most out of the system.
Meanwhile, Fresenius Medical Care, the worlds largest integrated provider of products and services for people undergoing dialysis because of chronic kidney failure, has adopted a new learning-management system.
The company – with 79,159 employees in 2,898 clinics and 40 production sites serving 233,156 patients and providing 34.4 million dialysis treatments worldwide – needed a flexible system with the capability to comply with key regulations.
“We are very excited to work with a global leader such as Fresenius Medical Care, commented Liam Butler, general manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at NetDimensions, which supplied the learning-management system.
“We will be joining forces with Fresenius Medical Care to roll out NetDimensions learning as part of our NetDimensions talent suite while at the same time ensuring that our solution is able to serve the different needs and requirements of the Fresenius Medical Care employees around the world.
