The definitive guide to British conference destinations has been published by the British Association of Conference Destinations (BACD). The 1999 BACD Directory is a full colour,264-page guide to the facilities and attractions of the 104 destinations currently in membership of BACD.

New features in this latest edition include a completely revised layout of member destination entries, and new introductory pages with details of education and training opportunities for conference organizers, a short history of BACD, and enhanced information on disability/accessibility issues.

The Directory's conference and exhibition capacity charts have been further enhanced with colour coding to match the book's regional sections and the suite of maps has been fully updated to reflect changes in the composition of the BACD membership.

Designed as a key reference book for conference and meeting planners, the Directory provides full contact details for all BACD member convention bureaux and conference desks(name and address, phone and fax, e-mail and Internet) to facilitate sourcing of venues and other services. The services available to event organizers from BACD members are also listed in summary format.

The Directory has a cover price of £12.00 but is distributed free of charge to bona fide conference and event organizers.
