Keywords Qualifications, Safety, Standards,Training, United Kingdom

The British Self Defence Governing Body (BSDGB), established in 1992 to govern the standards and teaching of self-defence and personal safety in the UK, has appointed Cheshire-based Ultimate Response Training Limited to market its new range of nationally accredited qualifications.

The new qualifications cover a range of issues relating to personal safety training, including how to handle violence and aggression at work, how to deal with bullying and harassment, and the implications for employers in terms of their legal duties and responsibilities. The qualifications are available for trainers, as well as individuals and organizations.

Eric Baskind, Chairman of the BSDGB, said:

Violence and aggression in the workplace have, unfortunately, become every-increasing problems for many individuals and employers. A key aim of BSDGB is to reduce the risk of individuals becoming victims of violence. Our arrangement with Ultimate Response Training will enable us to offer training in these important areas to a wide range of individuals and employers across the country.
