Graduate-recruitment firm Pareto Law is pinning its future growth on a new fast-track induction program known as the Pareto Academy. In six months, the intensive boot-camp has produced 20 new sales executives for roles at any of the seven Pareto offices across the UK.

Pareto has more than quadrupled in size in the last five years, resulting in the need for a strategic initiative to increase the company’s base of high-quality employees. The academy is designed to provide candidates with skills to maximize their performance in sales and recruitment.

Each academy is made up of between six and 12 recruits, and incorporates both seminar-based and practical tuition, as well as one-to-one coaching and role-play, covering all aspects of Pareto Law’s operations. Following successful completion of the academy program, graduates enter full-time employment at Pareto Law offices in Wilmslow, London, Crawley, Leeds,Birmingham, Bristol or Glasgow.

Jonathan Fitchew, joint managing director, commented:

The academy is an integral part of our growth plans. We expose the trainees to every aspect of our business, starting with graduate recruitment and moving on to front-line client communication. The nature of the program results in strong team building across the academy, while shared resources help to ensure that we quickly benefit from a stream of highly trained, motivated graduates to help our business to grow.

Pareto Law recruits some 1,400 graduates a year, for sales and marketing jobs with organizations such as Barclays, Whyte & Mackay and Johnson &Johnson. It won the 2005 Sunday Times Best Small Company to Work For award.
