Logistics company Norbert Dentressangle has welcomed a further 23 managers on to its foundation degree in leadership and management.
As part of its strategic talent-management approach, the company launched the program in 2008 to provide talented middle managers with the support and training to help them to fulfil their potential. In addition, for managers with few qualifications, the program offers the opportunity to achieve a degree, providing formal recognition of their experience and competence.
Developed and delivered in collaboration with the University of Northampton, the two-year course was the first in the country to offer the Institute of Leadership and Management level 5 extended diploma in leadership and management as part of a foundation degree.
To date, 39 managers have graduated from the program, many of whom have since been promoted.
Mark Simmons, HR director for Norbert Dentressangle Logistics UK, said: “Our strategy is to develop a culture of high performance, capable of adapting swiftly to new opportunities and challenges in order to deliver profitable growth.
“Having the right people with the right skills is at the heart of our service to customers and the ability to foster and retain talent is critical as we continue to grow our business.”
