Raytheon Professional Services (RPS), a subsidiary of the Raytheon Company, has won a contract to manage apprenticeship programs across the UK for Cable &Wireless Worldwide (CWW).
RPS will manage three areas of specialization in CWW’s apprenticeship program – telecommunication engineering, business and administration, and customer service. RPS will also facilitate qualification assessments and the delivery of virtual-classroom training for the CWW program, which recruits people aged 16 to 24.
“The continued development of vocational skills is an enabler to long-term employment, career progression and mobility in the telecommunication market,”said Kirsty Huntington, who manages the CWW apprenticeship program. “RPS has a track record in delivering first-class services that will help us to ensure that our future talent needs are met.”
“This contract with CWW will allow RPS to deliver solid learning programs to young people across the UK,” said Mark Oliver, managing director of RPS in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. “They will be prepared for careers in a trade and industry that can serve them for the rest of their lives.”

It also praises the company’s apprenticeship services for helping to improve the lives of many young people by offering them the chance to gain qualifications and creating a pipeline of skilled people.
Ofsted grades are outstanding (Grade 1), good (Grade 2), satisfactory (Grade 3)and inadequate (Grade 4).
“We have established an excellent track record with students, businesses and the UK government for our apprenticeship services,” said Mark Oliver.“The Ofsted grade validates our approach to apprenticeship learning, and we will continue to apply the expertise, tools and processes necessary to continue to elevate our standards.”
