Editorial Free

I am delighted to welcome Dr Vinnie Jauhari as Guest Editor of this special issue. I met Vinnie and her colleagues in New Delhi during 2006 and the idea for this issue arose from an Emerald author workshop held at the Institute for International Management and Technology, where Vinnie was, until recently,Professor and Head of the School of Management and Entrpreneurship. Vinnie is now University Relations Manager – India, Hewlett Packard India. We all agreed that there are some fascinating changes taking place in India, and the articles featured here capture the flavour of the transition that is taking place. I should like to thank the team for their efforts and Vinnie for assembling and editing the collection.
