Good ideas have simple beginnings, as I found out when I accepted a part‐time position as reference librarian at the Danbury (Connecticut) Public Library. At a time when health care and health insurance are on everyone's mind, it quickly became apparent that the resources at the library could not meet the health information needs of the average consumer.
