Editorial: Understanding the relationship between logistics/supply chain and public policy in the age of grand disruptions: evidence from Latin America

The motivation for this Special Issue (SI) originated from discussions among the three Ambassadors of the Academy of Management (AOM) Operations and Supply Chain Management (OSCM) Division assigned to the Latin/South America region—Professors Maciel Queiroz, Nubia Velasco and Sabina Mlodzianowska. In 2022, the division inaugurated the regional ambassadors initiative to promote sustained engagement across its five geographic regions. These ambassadors serve a pivotal role in organizing and delivering webinars on timely and relevant topics, thereby ensuring that members remain well-informed and actively connected throughout the year.
