Purpose

This study aims to explore the scientific relevance, academic trends and key questions associated with the humanisation of artificial intelligence (AI) in organisational contexts.

Design/methodology/approach

A bibliometric analysis was conducted on a curated set of 171 publications indexed in the Scopus database. The study used co-word analysis and bibliographic coupling techniques to map the intellectual structure and thematic evolution of the field.

Findings

The analysis revealed four main clusters: (1) AI Humanisation and User Experience, (2) AI Implementation in Organisations, (3) Ethics, Transparency and Trust in AI and (4) Trends and Future of AI in the Workplace. These findings highlight the interdisciplinary nature of the topic and the growing attention to its ethical and managerial implications.

Originality

This study provides a comprehensive overview of the academic landscape related to humanised AI in organisations, contributing to the consolidation of this emerging field. In addition to mapping the existing literature, it proposes a clear research agenda by addressing specific questions to guide future research.
