This research investigates the unexplored relationship between diversity climate and employee creativity. To fully understand this relationship, this research aims to explore the mediating role of knowledge sharing and the moderating role of creative role identity.
This research gathers data from 325 full-time employees working at travel agencies and hotel businesses in Vietnam. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was used to test hypotheses.
The results shows that diversity climate positively impacted employee creativity directly and indirectly through knowledge sharing. In addition, creative role identity reinforced the relationship between diversity climate and employee creativity.
First, this study is one of the first to explore how diversity climate influences employee creativity. Second, this paper also explains how knowledge sharing links diversity climate with employee creativity. Finally, this research provides further evidence that creative role identity reinforces the effect of diversity climate on employee creativity.
