BT Crime and Justice Unit has signed a major national contract "PoliceCare", to ensure all police forces across the UK can communicate more effectively with the public. "PoliceCare"provides a core maintenance service for all UK police force PBX communication systems. A range of support options can be added such as proactive fault monitoring, software moves and changes and a disaster recovery package. BT has had a sales/service group dedicated to police requirements for 11 years and has been providing the core maintenance service, under different terms and conditions for the last eight years. "PoliceCare" is a national service, manned by locally based engineers. It is flexible and offers prioritisation of response where customers can decide their requirements, police force to police force,site to site or even fault to fault.
