The University for Industry concept has been around for some time now. However, no-one seems to be entirely sure of how it will translate into reality- in terms of delivering education and training to its clients. It does seem clear that it will not be any kind of "University" though it may be "for Industry". Industry does not seem to be clamouring for something to happen - I guess they've seen such initiatives before and are sceptical about whether the UfI is going to make a real difference. We have to wait and see - but for how long?
