Answer me!

Some of you may know that I am involved in the organisation of the World Productivity congress in Edinburgh. My particular role has been in organising the programme. Writing to "important" figures in the world of commerce and industry produces some interesting results. Quite a few don't bother to reply -OK, they take an approach as junk mail, I can understand that. However, of those who do agree to participate, for a minority it is sometimes very hard to get further details, abstracts, summaries, etc. Even getting a response to a letter or phone call - from a secretary or PA - is often almost impossible. Would you want to do business with such people?
