I remember nostalgia

On clearing my desk recently (no, I have not been sacked, I moved offices) I came across several small piles of visiting cards. The data that I wanted had been transferred into my PIM and my PDA (if you do not understand the acronyms, where have you been?) and so they were of no real use. Yet I was reluctant to throw them away. There is something about the real and symbolic act of handing over a visiting card that forms a relationship - and the act of throwing away a card seems to break that relationship. Perhaps I am just getting sentimental in my old age!
