Ricoh (UK) Ltd has introduced a new entry-level digital duplicator, the JP1050. Priced at £2,999,the machine is the lowest priced duplicator available in the UK and yet offers remarkably high performance and simple operation. Incorporating technology borrowed from Ricoh's award winning range of Aficio digital copiers, the JP1050 has simple copier-like controls and a clear LCD panel to guide users through the machine's sophisticated copying features. Running at speeds of up to 120 copies a minute and offering significant cost savings on mid to long print runs (20 prints or more), it will benefit all users who need to produce multiple runs from single originals. The JP1050 works with an ink-based system and effectively combines digital scanning with stencil imaging. The duplicator cuts a paper master which is automatically wrapped around the drum, this rotates at high speed to produce copies. A book-top scanner replaces the traditional stream feed scanner making the JP1050 ideal for copying directly from books and magazines. Image quality is excellent with 300 by 400 dpi resolution in fine mode. When connected to a PC and Mac the JP1050 gives you first generation copy quality providing high volume, low-cost per page print capability.
