Business process charts

I have looked at a couple of software packages recently which claim to efficiently and effectively represent business processes – as an aid to communication and review. I have not been impressed, so I'm still looking. None of the ones I have seen is simple and flexible enough to be used by non-specialists, and I much prefer the recording and analysis of business processes to be a partnership activity between a specialist and a "user". This works better if both can handle the recording tool. If anyone knows of such a tool, please contact me.
