It has been brought to our attention that an article for inclusion in this special issue was mistakenly published in an earlier issue of the journal this year.

The article “On why public servants must cultivate their own watchdogs”by J. Cherie Strachan was published in Vol. 25 No. 2 of the International Journal of Public Sector Management. This should be read in conjunction with the articles in the special issue entitled “Making public management work in the global economy: lessons from Europe and North America”.
