Record merchandising at Virgin Retail

The rapid development of the record industry with the emergence of cassettes and then compact discs has brought its own problems of management, and especially stock control. Now computer‐controlled systems help managers with stock ordering and other control systems; IBM 4680 PoS tills have been installed in four of Virgin's largest record stores.
