An online Sustainability Resource Centre has been launched by the Institute of Chartered Accountants. This service, which forms part of the Institute's web site, provides links to the latest information on sustainable development in the business environment.

The Sustainability Resource Centre is packed with information for chartered’accountants and the businesses they serve. There are four new link pages on:

  • 1.

    sustainability;

  • 2.

    corporate social responsibility;

  • 3.

    environmental reporting; and

  • 4.

    transparency.

Between them, these link pages contain over 100 essential hyperlinks.

There are also three suggested reading lists on:

  • 1.

    sustainability;

  • 2.

    environmental reporting; and

  • 3.

    socially responsible investment.

The Infodesk in the Sustainability Resource Centre is revised daily,so that members can keep up-to-date with all the latest books as well as articles in the business and accounting journals as soon as they appear.

The need for a Sustainability Resource Centre was first identified by the Institute's immediate past President, Graham Ward, who is currently Chairman of the ICAEW Sustainability Advisory Group.
