The preliminary findings of the Stockholm International Water Institute– UNEP Finance Initiative project, “Risks of Water Scarcity: A Business Risk for Financial Institutions”, were discussed in Stockholm during the 2004 World Water Week and are now available, with the report, as an Adobe Acrobat document at: www.siwi.org/press/presrel_04_Finance%20Initiative.htm

In Stockholm, financial institutions, development agencies and other relevant stakeholder addressed the risks that could arise from water scarcity and its potential effects to financial institutions, financial markets and society as a whole.
