Sustainable Development: a Review of International Literature
The Scottish Executive has recently published online a literature review, by SDRN members, covering a number of key sustainable development themes. The report was commissioned to inform thinking on the Scottish sustainable development strategy document “Choosing our Future”, and summarises available research and policy literature, at different international levels,drawing out priorities and government responses to key themes and setting the Scottish situation in the global context. Individual topics covered by the review are: sustainable development theory; food; procurement; consumption;green jobs and enterprise; the built environment; environmental protection;education; and environmental justice.
