EU expands climate awareness campaign to schools

The European Commission is targeting teachers and students in the second phase of a climate change awareness campaign. The campaign offers a variety of tools for teachers to use in classroom activities. Students are encouraged to make small changes to their daily behaviour and make a personal pledge to combat climate change. A campaign web site makes the materials available and provides an interactive forum for discussion. The campaign is being supported by television, press and internet advertising.
