A Children's librarian goes east

I WAS of course tremendously excited when I was invited to join a group of people mainly working with children in theatre, books and art, for a brief visit to the U.S.S.R. and Poland at the beginning of this year. However, I had no idea what a rich and fascinating experience this would turn out to be.
