The new and completely revised fifth edition of Junior fiction index (isbn 0900092 50 5) compiled by Trevor J Knight, FLA for the Association of Assistant Librarians has just been issued. It includes the greater part of the material for children and young people which was in print in mid‐1984 in both hardback and paperback. The subject headings have been revised to reflect changes in what is now included in junior fiction especially those topics dealing with social and sensitive issues. The price is £7.25 but £6.25 to personal members of the AAL.
