Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. It is a pleasure to see so many new students, and to have this opportunity to welcome some of you, personally, to PoSEY (the Polytechnic of South‐East Yorkshire), and to southeast Yorkshire in general. Let me say how much I appreciate your enthusiasm, and boldness, in coming here. Some of you may never have ventured north of, shall we say, Finchley Central.
