It continues to worry me that library and information services so often send news sheets and handouts lacking vital information. This month I have a publication for review from the Institute of Information Scientists with all details except price and I had to ring Plymouth to get this. Then there was the Suffolk County Council's Information and Library Service which, in its SCILS News, March 1989 on page 7 described the Museum of East Anglian Life and included a picture of its new shop and Contemporary Crafts Gallery. The Museum sounds interesting and attractive as does the included programme of lectures and special events throughout 1989 — just the place to visit, in fact, but where is it? And copy on courses and conferences without indication of start‐time and cost fail to tell potential participants at least one of the things which may help them to decide whether or not to be actual participants.
