THE MINTO Engine employs superhearted fluorocarbon refrigerant which boils at 117°F to drive two counter‐rotating, helically fluted rotors. Eighty per cent of the power is developed in the male rotor and its output drives the vehicle. Essentially, the engine is a compressor driven in reverse. After passing through the engine proper, the expanded gas is condensed and reinjected into the boiler for use again—the classic Rankine cycle.
