AMOA GP is a phenolic soluble oil forming milky emulsions in all types of water. Suitable for both grinding and cutting operations.
AMOA Sol S1 is a non-phenolic soluble oil with added biocide designed for use on ferrous and non-ferrous stocks.
AMOA Sol M is a non-phenolic general purpose soluble oil additive suitable for both cutting and grinding operations giving good workpiece visibility.
AMOA Sol MEP is a multifunctional soluble oil containing EP additives to give high levels of lubricity and heat dissipation.
AMOA Sol 85 is a semi-synthetic, biostable water dilutable fluid producing translucent emulsions and used in grinding and cutting operations.
AMOA Sol TRM is a semi-synthetic, non-EP biostable cutting fluid designed for general purpose machining operations.
TRUECUT EP is a high performance, semi-synthetic soluble oil containing extreme pressure additives. Non-staining and imparts an excellent surface finish.

Synthetic and semi-synthetics
Aquastar H is a premium biostable, fully synthetic grinding fluid which gives high levels of corrosion protection at low concentrations in water. Specifically developed to overcome foam problems in large, high-velocity grinding systems where fluid turbulence and air retention are a problem.
Aquastar H3 is a biostable, universal, semi-synthetic cutting fluid with a high mineral oil content, non-staining EP additives, and multi-metal corrosion inhibitors for use in a wide range of the most arduous heavy duty machining operations.
Aquastar ALH2 is a biostable, semi-synthetic cutting fluid formulated with high levels of lubricity for use with aluminium and its alloys in arduous modern machining operations.
Aquatex H1 is a biostable,semi-synthetic cutting fluid with a high mineral oil content for multiple operations on various types of machine tools where cutting fluid rationalisation is a concern.
Aquatex M is a general purpose, highly biostable, semi-synthetic cutting and grinding fluid with a relatively low mineral oil content, especially developed for machining cast iron and as a dual purpose grinding fluid and machine coolant.
Heavy duty system cleaner is a specially formulated degreaser and detergent for emulsifiable systems,providing both degreasing and disinfecting action in one complete cleaner which effectively removes any build-up of oil, slime, bacteria and fungal growth or residue.
Neat metalworking fluids
Transultex is a series of transparent, light-coloured, anti-mist, active sulphur cutting oils for moderate to severe machining operations. Available in different EP levels, fatty oil contents and viscosity grades to cover a wide variety of applications and metals.
Transultex CF is a series of transparent, light-coloured, anti-mist, chlorine-free, active sulphur cutting oils for moderate to severe machining operations. Available in different EP levels, fatty oil contents and viscosity grades to cover a wide variety of applications and metals, particularly those where contact with chlorine must be avoided, or where oils containing chlorine may present a waste or storage problem.
Sultex is a series of dark-coloured, heavy-duty, chlorine-free, active sulphur cutting oils for tough machining operations. Formulated with highly effective EP and fatty oil additives.
Cleartex is a series of transparent, light-coloured, tri-purpose oils for use as cutting oils, machine tool lubricants and hydraulic fluids in ceratin machine tools. Formulated with a special non-staining EP additive system.
Cleartex CF is a series of transparent, light-coloured, chlorine-free, tri-purpose oils for use as cutting oils, machine tool lubricants and hydraulic fluids in certain machine tools. Formulated with a special non-staining EP additive system and a special non-fatty lubricity agent specially designed for applications where staining by chlorinated additives could be a problem, or where oils containing chlorine may present a waste or storage problem.
Almag Oil is a transparent, light-coloured, low viscosity, straight mineral cutting oil designed for use in light duty machining and grinding operations on aluminium,magnesium and their alloys.
Emulsifiable metalworking fluids
Soluble Oil XL is a general-purpose soluble oil specifically formulated for extra lubricity. It exhibits high levels of detergency and reserve alkalinity, low-foaming tendencies, and contains a bacteriocide to combat a wide spectrum of micro-organisms commonly found in sumps and reservoirs.
Soluble Oil HD is a heavy duty soluble oil which exhibits the good cooling characteristics of a conventional emulsion with the load-carrying properties of a neat cutting oil. Also exhibits high levels of detergency and reserve alkalinity, low foaming tendencies, and contains a bacteriocide to combat a wide spectrum of micro-organisms commonly found in sumps and reservoirs.
Soluble Oil D is a general purpose soluble oil formulated to form very stable emulsions, even with relatively hard waters and at high dilution rates. Also exhibits high levels of detergency and reserve alkalinity, low foaming tendencies, and contains a bacteriocide to combat a wide spectrum of micro-organisms commonly found in sumps and reservoirs.
Soluble Oil GP is a general purpose soluble oil formulated for use where an economical soluble oil is required.

Quenchtex is a series of highly refined paraffinic oil based quenching fluids for the uniform hardening of carbon and alloy steels.

Elf Atochem additives for metalworking fluids
Elf Atochem, a world leader in thiochemicals, offers several ranges of organic sulphur-based products which have been specifically developed for various markets. The TPS range are high performance ditertioalkyl polysulphide extreme pressure additives.
TPS 15 is a water soluble additive formulated from ADTDP for synthetic and semi-synthetic cutting fluids.
TPS 20, 27 and 44 are chemically inactive trisulphides, specially formulated for working with yellow metals and their alloys.
TPS 32, 37 and 54 are chemically active penatsulphides with a high sulphur content, for use with ferrous metals.
A full range of clear, low odour sulphurised fatty esters (VPS) has also been developed to complement Elf Atochem's anti-wear and EP additives, including:
Sulphurised vegetable fatty esters
VPS 11 and 15 chemically inactive grades.
VPS 17 chemically active grades.
There is also a range of castor oil based chemicals fulfilling a number of diverse needs.
Esterol A and C are fatty acid methyl esters suitable for use either as a base fluid or a lubricity agent in cutting oils.
Esterol S range are sulphurised fatty esters combining lubricity improvement with anti-wear/extreme pressure properties. The high surface activity improves surface finish of machined components.
In addition to the above the NORAM (primary amines), DINORAM (diamines) and DINORAMOX (ethoxylated and propoxylated derivatives) bases are used for their lubricating, film-forming and water-repellent properties.

Aquarius C is an oil-free,transparent fluid which forms a clear or transparent solution when diluted with water. The clarity depends on the hardness of the water and the amount of contamination with tramp oil when in use. The product also contains a compound which controls the growth rate of bacteria and prevents the fluid from degrading prematurely and producing bad odours. It also contains lubricity additives,wetting agents, and corrosion inhibitors.
Aquarius is a general purpose fluid forming a stable, milky-white emulsion.
Aquarius EP contains a chlorinated additive for improved performance, and forms a milky-white emulsion.
Aquarius EP Plus combines the benefits provided by Aquarius EP, but is enhanced further by the inclusion of additional lubricity agents. This combination makes it suitable for more ductile materials.
Aquarius EPT contains enhanced anti-corrosion as well as EP additives, and produces a translucent emulsion in most water types.
Aquarius SS is a premium quality, general purpose fluid giving a blue translucent emulsion allowing good visibility.
Aquarius SS EP is a premium quality fluid containing an EP additive to give enhanced machinability of materials which are more difficult to machine. It gives a semi-translucent off-white emulsion which will become more opaque with use.
Aquarius SS AL is a premium quality fluid containing a specially selected lubricity additive to give improved surface finish of low-machinability materials such as aluminium.
Aquarius SUPREME is a phenol-, nitrite-, chlorine- and sulphur-free semi-synthetic, high-oil content,biostable cutting fluid specifically formulated for the machining of difficult aluminium alloys in high performance machining operations. Also suitable for general machining of both ferrous and non-ferrous materials.

Neat cutting fluids and rolling oils
Bach AD, AH, AHL is a range of active, low mist, neat cutting oils suitable for all applications on high alloy steels. AHL has Sandvik approval for deep hole drilling.

Beethoven SC is a soluble cutting oil, forming an opalescent emulsion. Biocide-protected and nitrite-free,it provides EP performance on high alloy and stainless steels, and has Sandvik approval for deep hole drilling.
Beethoven T is a biocide-protected, nitrite- and chlorine-free translucent emulsion soluble oil for general machining and grinding.
Beethoven M is a milky emulsion, nitrite- and chlorine-free, biocide-protected soluble oil for general machining operations.
Beethoven VHD is a semi-synthetic, translucent emulsion, biostable, EP performance soluble oil,which provides exceptional machine tool cleanliness and extremely long sump life, and is Rolls Royce (subcontractor) approved.

Beethoven XHM is a high lubricity, milky emulsion soluble oil for general machining operations. Biostable, and chlorine- and secondary amine-free, its synergistic biocidal control provides a long sump life.

Millers Oils have a wide range of metalworking fluids covering water-based and neat formulations.
Multicut Extra is regarded as the cornerstone of the soluble range providing high performance in use. Excellent surface finish even in difficult operations is achieved while being suitable for a wide range of metallurgies from aluminium to cast iron, to stainless steel.
The Hexol NC range includes a translucent grade which is NC 492, while 534,535 and 536 complete the range. These would be general-purpose machine shop coolants of the milky-white emulsion type.
A fully-synthetic grinding fluid, Hexol 1221 is available and a further addition to that application is Millgrind 2201. Established grades are a fully synthetic cutting fluid Milcool 979 and a semi-synthetic EP formulation Milcool 1399.
Neat cutting oils cover an extremely wide range of treatments and viscosities. Millicut 20 has a Teledyne Landis approval and remains an established high performance product. Millicut 1281 is again well proven at the upper end of performance particularly with alloy steels and is supported by excellent treatment.
General purpose grades would be Millicut 1 and Millicut 1P which are also available in a pale colour as Millicut 1727 and Millicut 1734 respectively. Also in the general purpose category would be Millicut 1336.
Broaching remains an arduous operation and Millicut EE3 is well established and proven for that area of use. A Rolls Royce approval for subcontractor component machining is Millicut 676.

It is free of chlorine, sulphur and phosphorus.
Metcut EP 200 is a modern biostable semi-synthetic fluid for all general machining operations, and is inhibited for use on brasses and other cuprous alloys.
Metcut F187 is a biostable, fully synthetic watermix grinding fluid, formulated for very rapid grinding of ferrous materials, and especially suitable for Lumsden-type machines. It is free of nitrite, mineral oil, sulphur, chlorine and phenol.
Metcut Planitol is a watermix fluid formulated from naturally occurring oil derivatives, suitable for the more demanding machine operations calling for the highest levels of surface finish and component tolerances, making it ideal for machining all types of aluminium alloys, titanium and other aerospace components. It is free of chlorine, sulphur and phosphorus.
Metcut XL is a high oil content, biostable, EP, nitrite-free semi-synthetic coolant.
Metcut XSC 10 is a highest duty, nitrite- and biocide-free, EP, watermix cutting fluid intended as a substitute for neat oil. It is non-staining on most ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
Metcut SC3X is a synthetic, biostable, nitrite, phenol- and biocide-free watermix cutting fluid for general machining and grinding operations of all ferrous metals, especially cast iron. It is non-staining on most cuprous and aluminium metals.
Metcut Supercut 9000 is a high oil content, sulphur-, chlorine- and phosphorus-free micro-emulsion-type product suitable for medium to high speed machining operations up to and including high carbon steels and most stainless steels.

RODS AL soluble cutting oil is designed for single point reaming on aluminium alloy but also use where a very fine finish is required on all operations on aluminium.
RODS HD59 soluble cutting oil is designed to be a "do-it-all" product capable of machining cast iron,aluminium and stainless steel while remaining more competitive in cost than the average coolant and capable of high dilution (IP 287 70:1) where conditions allow.
RODS PE87A wire-drawing oil is a synthetic soluble oil for very high speed drawing of fine wire. Typical speeds are 25-30 metres per second. The product enables a clean machine, use of non-diamond dies and exceptionally long sump life.
RODS Merwin range covers torque/tension requirements for the major motor companies and RODS export these products as far afield as Brazil in addition to Scandinavia and Western Europe. The lubricants are applied to threaded fasteners to achieve more consistent tension for a given torque. This has benefits in costs of manufacture, in assembly and for quality purposes.
