B.P's NEW AUSTRALIAN LUBE OIL BLENDING PLANT Available to Purchase

A new plant for the storage, blending and packaging of lubricating oil is being built at a cost of some £A500,000 near the Yarra River, Spotswood, Melbourne, by BP Australia Ltd., a subsidiary of British Petroleum Co., Ltd., London. The purpose of this plant is to receive and store bulk shipments of basic lubricating oils which will be refined in B.P's United Kingdom refineries, and to blend them into Energol automotive and industrial lubricants for the Australian market. The plant is being erected on a 10 acre site and the heart of it will be the main blending and packaging building, which will cover an acre. Other buildings include boiler house, transformer house, administrative block and gate‐checker's office.
