RECENT improvements in the McKee Worker‐Consistometer, which was originally designed at the National Bureau of Standards, U.S.A., to measure the effect of mechanical working on the physical properties of lubricating greases, permit operation at constant nominal rates of shear and extend the range to higher viscosities.
